Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She is the host of Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef along with being the host of Worst Cooks in America. With her trademark spiky blond hair and bubbly presence, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of food in restaurants and shares concise easy-to-master techniques to the home cook in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was also employed by some of the top restaurants located in New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy and competed in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. While growing up in Upstate New York, Chef Burrell began to develop a love of cooking and food at young age. After obtaining an English and Communications degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she became interested in the restaurant business by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America. I was awed by every minute during my time at The Culinary Institute of America she states. It was impossible to study or do enough. Chef Burrell was a graduate of the Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy spent one year working in Umbria at La Taverna del Lupo and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, the Michelin-starred restaurant. Her understanding grew of Italian food and culture during her stay in Italy, which has influenced the way she cooks. Burrell is a famous ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists children who are struggling. As a keynote speaker and coach, she travels throughout the US to talk about her culinary passion and career. Anne says during her career in the kitchen that she is incredibly fortunate to be able share with others what is essential to her.
